Procurement of Goods

    Not everything brought back from the sea was meant to be found.

The Black Tidemark was a name whispered among sailors who'd gone too far off charted waters- past trade routes, past known currents, into places where compasses slowed and the stars didn't line up right.

Ships that crossed it didn't always come back

The ones that did... brought things with them.

Strange objects began surfacing in ports - traded quietly, sold for cheap, or abandoned entirely.

Items never before seen. Some looked ceremonial. Others....    

        None came with explanation.

Collectors started calling these recovered pieces The Black Tidemark Collection - artifacts believed to originate from beyond known waters, carried back by crews who rarely spoke of what they'd seen. Changed men returned, some couldn't stay.

Some common traits have been noted:

     -Materials that don't age as expected

     -Subtle shifts in position over time

     -Faint salt worn scent, even when kept dry

     -An uncomfortable sense of being observed

     -Whispers in the shadows on moon lit nights

     -A feeling of a heartbeat not of your own

No two pieces are exactly alike.

Some are thought to be trophies.

Others, tools.

A few ... something else.

Most agree on one thing:

   Whatever lies beyond the Black Tidemark...

       didn't send these back by accident.
